About my presentation
My school presentation is for grades
K through 6. I will be presenting L is for lobster: A Maine Alphabet, Fishing for Numbers: A Maine Number
Book, M is for Mayflower: A Massachusetts Alphabet, One if by Land: A Massachusetts Number Book,
and P is for Passport: A World Alphabet. I will share with the children the process of illustrating a book from
start (getting to know the manuscript) to finish (checking over details on the prototype of the book before it goes
to print). I have many interesting visuals (book dummy, original paintings, reference materials, sketches, etc.)
to hold the children's interest and inspire them to create their own stories. I also include an illustrator's
vocabulary list in my presentation. I customize my presentation for age appropriateness.
